Madama Butterfly (1904) was initially greeted with great hostility (mostly organised by his rivals) but, after some reworking, became another of his most successful operas. It was based on a successful Broadway play produced by David Belasco. It would likely narrowly be voted the best Puccini Opera by the multitude of fans who are familiar with his major hits.

Bonjour Jacinthe,

Je suis Isabelle,la soeur de Marie-Thérèse Landry,l'autre ricaneuse avec qui tu faisais équipe à Gaspé.

Depuis que je suis à Charlesbourg, je cherche comment te joindre. Je voudrais à tout prix assister à tes productions. J'ai toujours ton interprétation sur une cassette de ''Gethsémanie''... Même d'aussi loin, ta voix, ta simplicité, ton beau rire cristallin... et quelques cascades de rires lors de descentes de ski de fond plutôt risquées (et d'alleurs terminées sur le fond), tout était ravissant!

Si tu as un calendrier de spectacles, j'aimerais pouvoir le consulter. Je ne manquerais pour rien au monde la joie de te revoir et de t'entendre chanter!
